Skrillex is an American electronic music producer and DJ from Los Angeles who began releasing electronic material in the late 2000s and is associated with dubstep, electro house and broader EDM. His work blends heavy bass drops, glitchy sound design and aggressive rhythms, and his releases and collaborations helped bring bass-heavy electronic subgenres into wider pop and hip hop crossovers.
