The Allman Brothers Band

The Allman Brothers Band are an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1969, associated with Southern rock, blues rock and jam band traditions. Their music emphasises extended improvisation, dual-guitar interplay and a blend of blues, jazz and country influences, and their career featured lengthy periods of touring, hiatuses and reunions that contributed to the development of live rock improvisation.
