Kamasi Washington

Kamasi Washington is an American jazz saxophonist, bandleader and composer from Los Angeles who began his professional career in the early 2000s and is associated with contemporary, spiritual and experimental jazz. His work often features large-scale ensemble arrangements that combine orchestral and choral textures with jazz improvisation and has included collaborations with hip-hop and R&B artists, broadening jazz's presence in contemporary popular music contexts.
