Gary Lightbody

Gary Lightbody is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter from Bangor, County Down, who formed the band Snow Patrol while studying at the University of Dundee in the mid-1990s and began his career in indie and alternative rock. His musical style has ranged from guitar-based indie rock to more expansive pop and electronic textures across solo projects and collaborations, and his work has intersected with broader British and Irish rock and pop contexts.
