Rolando Panerai was an Italian operatic baritone who began his career in the mid-20th century, specialising in the Italian operatic repertory. He performed many character roles in operas by Verdi, Puccini and Rossini across Italian opera houses, combining vocal agility with strong dramatic characterisation.
