Bauhaus
Bauhaus are an English rock band formed in Northampton in 1978, initially emerging from the post-punk scene and often associated with gothic rock. Known for a stark, theatrical sound that combined angular guitars, atmospheric basslines and dramatic vocals, they evolved from art-school post-punk into a style that helped define the late-1970s/early-1980s goth subculture and influenced subsequent alternative and darkwave acts.
