Newcleus
Newcleus are an American electro and hip hop group formed in Brooklyn, New York, around 1979, beginning as a local DJ collective and moving into recording in the early 1980s. Their music combined synthesiser-driven electro, drum-machine patterns and hip hop rhythms, with early recordings that exemplified the emergence of electro-inflected hip hop and the use of electronic production and breakbeat-oriented tracks in the scene.
