Afrika Bambaataa

Afrika Bambaataa is an American DJ and producer from the Bronx, New York, who emerged in the late 1970s and is associated with early hip hop, electro and electronic music. He helped popularise turntablism and electronic-inflected beats within emerging hip hop culture and community organisation, though his legacy has been marred by later allegations of sexual abuse.
