Westside Gunn

Westside Gunn is an American hip hop artist from Buffalo, New York, who began releasing mixtapes in the mid‑2000s and later co‑founded an independent record label to release his music. His work combines gritty, street‑centred lyricism and vivid fashion and product references with looped, sample‑based production and curated collaborations, and it has been associated with a revival of underground, boom‑bap‑influenced rap and a DIY independent‑label approach in the 2010s and 2020s.
