Aafje Heynis

Aafje Heynis was a Dutch contralto from Westzaan who began her professional career in the mid-20th century, specialising in classical concert, oratorio and lieder repertoire. Her repertoire centred on Baroque and Romantic sacred works and art song, particularly works by Bach and Handel, and she appears on numerous concert and studio recordings that document her approach to the contralto repertory.
