Rosamunde, Incidental Music
Album by Franz Schubert & Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest & Bernard Haitink & Aafje Heynis
Rosamunde, Incidental Music is a set of incidental pieces by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, composed in 1823 for the stage. Scored for orchestra and occasional chorus, the music features Schubert's lyrical melodies, rich harmonic language and varied orchestral colour, and it occupies a notable place among his later stage and orchestral works as an example of his songlike writing applied to dramatic theatre.
