Ches Smith

Ches Smith is an American drummer, percussionist and composer who emerged from the contemporary jazz and experimental music scenes in the late 1990s and early 2000s. His work spans jazz, avant-garde, experimental rock and contemporary composition, combining acoustic percussion, electronics and improvised approaches across solo projects, ensembles and collaborative recordings within the US experimental-jazz community.
