Metro Boomin is an American record producer and DJ from St. Louis who rose to prominence in the early 2010s through work linked to the Atlanta hip hop scene and is primarily associated with hip hop and trap music. Known for sparse, hard-hitting drums, dark melodic synths and distinctive producer tags, his production helped shape contemporary trap and spans solo projects, collaborative mixtapes and mainstream hip hop releases.
