James Dean Bradfield (born 21 February 1969 in Pontypridd, Wales) is a Welsh singer, guitarist and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lead guitarist of Manic Street Preachers. His work spans alternative rock and post-punk, frequently addressing political, social and personal themes, and he has also released solo recordings.
