Chris Stamey is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, who began his career in the mid-1970s and co-founded the rock band the dB's. His work draws on jangle-pop and power-pop traditions and encompasses solo albums, production projects and periodic band reunions, characterised by chiming guitars, melodic songwriting and an interest in studio experimentation within the American independent pop/alternative rock context.
