Seven Gates of Jerusalem (Symphony No. 7) is a large-scale sacred choral-orchestral work by Krzysztof Penderecki, commemorating Jerusalem’s 3000th anniversary and setting biblical texts for soloists, narrator, chorus and large orchestra. It belongs to contemporary classical and oratorio traditions with themes centred on the city of Jerusalem.
