Musically it continues his folk-rock singer-songwriter approach, balancing acoustic and electric arrangements, close vocal harmonies and introspective lyrics, and it represents a more personal, pared-back follow-up to his debut that sits alongside his broader work in 1960s–70s folk-rock circles.
