The single is by English rock band Coldplay, released in 2011. Musically it blends pop-rock with electronic and R&B-inflected production, featuring prominent synthesiser textures, programmed beats and expansive dynamics, and it represented the band's move towards more overtly pop-oriented sounds during the period of their fifth studio album.
