The Killing Kind is the eighth studio album by American thrash metal band Overkill, released in 1996. It has a heavier, groove-oriented sound compared with the band's earlier thrash work, with slower tempos, thicker guitar tones, harsher vocals and a greater emphasis on rhythmic drive, and it came during a phase when the group moved toward darker, more metallic textures in their catalogue.
