Symphony in E major is a symphony by Austrian composer Hans Rott, composed in 1880–1881. The work employs late-Romantic orchestral writing with rich brass and woodwind colours, broad melodic gestures and adventurous harmonic progressions, and stands as the composer's principal surviving orchestral work with significance for the period's evolving Austro-German symphonic language.
