The Inner Mounting Flame is the debut studio album by the American jazz fusion band the Mahavishnu Orchestra, released in 1971. The album blends electric jazz and rock energy with extended improvisation, complex time signatures and prominent electric violin and guitar work, and it was an early example of the jazz fusion movement.
