Anthracite Fields

Anthracite Fields is a choral-orchestral album by American composer Julia Wolfe, released in 2014. It combines choral writing with elements of folk and minimalism and pairs ensemble textures with spoken and sung text from historical sources about coal-mining, and it continues Wolfe's focus on documentary-based large-scale works in contemporary classical music.
