Cello Sonatas

Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff & Jean‐Guihen Queyras & Alexander Melnikov

Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 65 is the only cello sonata by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed in 1846. The work blends Romantic piano-centred lyricism with an expanded, expressive role for the cello, reflecting Chopin's late compositional style and standing among his relatively few chamber works in the 19th-century repertoire.
