Brandenburg Concertos nos. 4, 5 & 6

Album by Johann Sebastian Bach & Musica Amphion & Pieter-Jan Belder

Brandenburg Concertos Numbers 4, 5 and 6 are three of the six concertos in the Brandenburg Concertos collection by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in 1721. They exemplify Baroque concerto and concerto grosso practice, with contrasting solo groups and ensemble textures, intricate counterpoint and virtuosic instrumental writing that reflect Bach's mature approach to instrumental colour and form.
First released: 2009
