Album by Johann Sebastian Bach & Ottavio Dantone & Accademia Bizantina
Harpsichord Concertos BWV 1052, 1053, 1055 and 1056 are a set of harpsichord concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in the 1730s. They exemplify Bach's synthesis of Italian concerto principles and German contrapuntal practice, featuring virtuosic solo harpsichord writing framed by orchestral ritornello structures and occupying a central place in his keyboard repertoire and the development of the concerto genre.
