Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" and the Othello Overture are orchestral works by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed in 1893 and 1892 respectively. Musically they exemplify Dvořák's late-Romantic idiom, combining expansive, folk-tinged melodies, rich string and brass writing and vivid instrumental colour, and they represent key works from his mature period that reflect his engagement with American musical influences and dramatic orchestral tradition.
