Symphonies - 1
Album by Camille Saint‐Saëns & Malmö SymfoniOrkester & Marc Soustrot
Symphony No. 1 is the first symphony by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, composed and premiered in 1853. Written in a Romantic orchestral idiom, it follows a classical four-movement structure and employs early Romantic harmonic language and orchestration that mark an early stage in Saint-Saëns's symphonic output and foreshadow his later symphonic work.
