Pines of Rome, P. 141 is a symphonic tone poem by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi, composed in 1924. The work employs expansive orchestration, vivid programme writing and inventive use of instrumental colour to evoke scenes associated with ancient and modern Rome, forming the middle piece of Respighi's Roman trilogy and marking a mature phase in his compositional output.
