Universal Consciousness

Universal Consciousness is a studio album by American jazz musician Alice Coltrane, released in 1971. Musically it is rooted in spiritual jazz and has dense harp and organ textures, orchestral strings, modal improvisation and long meditative passages, and it follows her move toward Eastern-influenced composition and larger ensemble arrangements during a phase when she moved from small-group post-bop to more orchestral, spiritual projects.
