Music for Chamber Orchestra
Album by Krzysztof Penderecki & Albrecht Mayer & Sinfonia Varsovia & Krzysztof Penderecki
Music for Chamber Orchestra is a composition by Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki, written in 1959. An early example of his avant-garde sonoristic phase, it employs dense tone clusters, unconventional playing techniques and an emphasis on timbre and texture, and it occupies a formative place in his development as a composer of post‑war orchestral and chamber music.
