The City is a studio album by Greek composer Vangelis, released in 1990. The music is electronic and ambient, with layered synthesiser textures, rhythmic elements and sampled urban sounds that give a cinematic feel, and it followed a period when Vangelis worked on film scores before he returned to non-soundtrack concept albums.
