Sob Rock is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter John Mayer, released in 2021. Musically the album is rooted in soft rock and pop with glossy 1980s-style production, prominent electric guitar work and warm synthesiser textures, and it followed a period in Mayer's career focused on live performances and blues projects before a move back to concise, song-centred studio recordings.
