Into the Purple Valley

Into the Purple Valley is the second studio album by American guitarist Ry Cooder, released in 1972. It mixes folk, blues, country and roots-rock styles with spare acoustic arrangements and slide guitar work, and in the context of Cooder's early career it serves as an exploration of American traditional music that helped define his approach to arranging and interpreting older material.
