From the River to the Ocean is a studio album by American tenor saxophonist Fred Anderson, released in 2007. Musically, it is rooted in free and avant-garde jazz with long, blues-tinged tenor lines laid over open rhythmic frameworks, and it is one of his later recordings that connects to his long involvement in the Chicago jazz scene.
