Cantatas, BWV 97–99 are a set of sacred cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed around 1723–1724. They exemplify Baroque vocal and choral writing by combining chorale-based material with contrapuntal and harmonic complexity and form part of Bach's early Leipzig cantata output used in the Lutheran liturgy.
