Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds is a concept album by composer Jeff Wayne, released in 1978. It is a blend of progressive rock, orchestral arrangements, synthesiser-based electronic textures and dramatic spoken narration, and it was an early example of a rock-oratorio that broadened Jeff Wayne's work into large-scale concept recordings.
