Beyond the Rain is an album by American saxophonist Chico Freeman, released in 1978. The music blends post-bop and free-jazz influences with modal passages, extended improvisation and a focus on saxophone-led ensemble textures, and the release comes from an early phase of Freeman's recording career when he moved beyond his Chicago roots into wider modern-jazz circles.
