Cello Concertos

Album by Antonín Dvořák & Edward Elgar & André Navarra & Sir John Barbirolli & Rudolf Schwarz

Cello Concerto in B minor is the only cello concerto by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, completed in 1895. The work is a Romantic-era concerto that pairs expressive, lyrical cello writing with full orchestral textures and folk-influenced themes, and it was written late in Dvořák's career where it became a mainstay of concert programmes for the instrument.
