Clarinet Concerto & Quintet
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Martin Fröst & Amsterdam Sinfonietta & Peter Oundjian & Vertavo String Quartet
The Clarinet Concerto and Clarinet Quintet are compositions by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, both completed in 1791. Both works exemplify Mozart's mature Classical style, featuring prominent lyrical clarinet writing, transparent chamber textures and balanced formal structures, and they represent some of his late contributions to the concerto and chamber-music repertoire in the final year of his life.
