Astronome: A Night at the Opera (A Disturbing Initiation)

Astronome: A Night at the Opera (A Disturbing Initiation) is a staged realisation of John Zorn’s Astronome, directed by Richard Foreman and set to the Moonchild trio’s recording with Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn and Joey Baron. It presents an avant-garde opera melding experimental rock, noise and theatre with ritual and initiation themes in a continuous score for voice, bass and drums.
