Mike Patton is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Eureka, California, who began his career in the mid-1980s with the experimental rock group Mr. Bungle and became the lead vocalist of the rock band Faith No More in the late 1980s. His musical output spans alternative metal, experimental rock, avant-garde, noise and film composition, characterised by extensive vocal experimentation, diverse collaborations and frequent shifts between band projects, solo releases and soundtrack work.
