Diver Down is the fifth studio album by American rock band Van Halen, released in 1982. Musically it blends hard rock and heavy metal foundations with concise, radio-friendly arrangements, prominent guitar virtuosity and increased use of keyboards and synthesiser textures, and its inclusion of several cover versions marked a more commercially orientated phase in the band's early 1980s output.
