Symphonie Nº 4

Symphony No. 4 in G major is the fourth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1900. The work employs relatively lighter orchestration and clearer textures compared with his preceding symphonies, concluding with a movement for soprano that presents a childlike vision of the afterlife and signalling a transition in Mahler's output from expansive Romantic gestures toward more concise structures.
