Sonates pour viole de gambe et clavecin obligé is a set of three sonatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed around 1740–1745. Scored for viola da gamba and obbligato harpsichord, they combine intricate counterpoint, dance-derived movements and lyrical slow passages and represent a mature example of Bach's chamber-music writing in the later part of his career.
