Lachrimæ or Seaven Teares is a collection of instrumental and vocal pieces by English lutenist and composer John Dowland, published in 1604. It groups a series of melancholy pavans and consort pieces built around a recurring lute motif, exemplifying late Renaissance and early Baroque consort writing and marking an important moment in Dowland's output and the development of lute and viol repertoire.
