The Marble Index is the second studio album by German musician Nico, released in 1968 by Elektra Records and recorded in Hollywood with arrangements and instrumentation by John Cale. It features harmonium-centred, avant-garde and minimalist compositions drawing on European classical influences and exploring existential themes.
