Shukuru

Shukuru is a studio album by American jazz saxophonist Pharoah Sanders, released in 1985. The album is rooted in modal and spiritual jazz with warm tenor saxophone lines, expansive balladry and elements of R&B and world rhythms, and it comes from a phase in Sanders's career in the 1980s when his playing moved toward more melodic and groove-based approaches.
