Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, commonly known as the 'Choral' Symphony, is the ninth symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, completed in 1824. A late-period work, it expands the symphonic form by incorporating vocal soloists and a chorus in the final movement and blends Classical structures with the expressive breadth and large-scale orchestral textures associated with the early Romantic era.
