Songs for Drella

Album by Lou Reed & John Cale

Songs for Drella is a collaborative studio album by Lou Reed and John Cale, released in 1990 as a song cycle memorialising Andy Warhol, whose nickname 'Drella' combines Dracula and Cinderella. Developed from a 1989 stage work at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, it examines their history with Warhol and The Velvet Underground in an art rock framework with minimal arrangements.
