Lulu is an opera by Austrian composer Alban Berg, composed between 1929 and 1935. Rooted in late-Romantic expressionism and employing twelve-tone techniques, the work blends atonal serialism with operatic lyricism and represents Berg's final operatic project, left incomplete at his death and later completed and staged posthumously, contributing to developments in mid-20th-century opera.
